Art galleries/studios are always fun spaces to host any event. Thomas Andrew Art is located in the heart of Homewood with ample parking. We have approximately 2000 square feet of party space, which includes three 4' x 8' bar top tables, bar stools and sofas. There is 1200 square feet of backroom space and a single bathroom that is ADA compliant. The backroom allows you to stage food, drinks, etc., including tables, a refrigerator to hold your cold items, and a microwave. We have ladders you may use to help decorate, and there are rolling carts you may use as well. We have an Alexa speaker system. We can also recommend a DJ or you may bring your own music.
To rent the space for a day or evening is $500, which includes a 5 hour window from set up to clean up.
We have a list of preferred caterers/bartenders or you may hire your own ... or you may bring your own food/drinks. Also, if you would like for your party guests to paint on a mural (one our most popular activities with adults and kids), it is an additional $200, which includes someone to help, all the paints and supplies, and the mural being varnished, wired and delivered to wherever in Birmingham you choose.
Lastly, we have a front register system if your guests would like to purchase anything, and there is plenty of wall space for hanging special photos or artwork. Our facility has Arlo security cameras. Capacity: 150

IDEAS TO CONSIDER
Fundraising with an art event can be fun and very successful. Today, however, traditional art auctions are a dime a doze. Here are a few ideas for new and fun art activities to raise money for your cause.
1) ART DASH - Art is donated for this one night event. Tickets are sold, and the patrons are then announced (raffle style) to line up and dash for the artwork they want to keep. Five patrons are drawn from a hat for each dash, and each dash lasts only 60-seconds. Once all of the artwork has been taken in the last dash, the dash is over. Add cocktails and food, and this becomes a high energy, fun event!
2) ART BATTLE - Eight artists will start with a blank canvas and a bucket. A bell is rung and each artist has 60 minutes to create their masterpiece. Tickets are sold and patrons will receive a token at the door. While the artists are painting, patrons will drop their token into the bucket of the artist who they feel is creating the best painting. After an hour, a final bell is rung and the tokens are then counted. The artist with the most tokens in their bucket is declared the winner. The artwork created is then immediately auctioned to the highest bidder. Add cocktails and food, and this becomes a high energy, fun event!
3) PAINT WITH A PURPOSE - Tickets are sold and each patron will paint a canvas. Once the event is over, patrons can choose to take home their masterpiece or donate it to the non-profit or school. Cocktails and food will be served at this fun, laid-back event.
4) MURAL PAINTING - This is one of our most popular activities and could be a fun fundraiser! Allow your partygoers or any special guests to paint on a mural and then auction it off.
